Tour

In this TOUR we will visit the five countries that are part of the British Isles. We’ll travel through wonderful landscapes, dream cities and will also show us the beautiful hidden surprises that the United Kingdom and Ireland offer. In addition, we will have a few extra days in London.

Day 1 - LONDON

Transfer from London-Heathrow airport to the hotel. Bed and breakfast at the Royal National Hotel or similar.

Day 2 - LONDON

This morning we will take a panoramic tour of London by bus, where we will visit the neighbourhoods of Westminster, Kensington, Mayfair, and Belgravia. Photo stop at the Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye, Royal Albert Hall, and Albert Memorial. In addition, we will have the opportunity to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace (if it operates on that day). We will visit the West End (theatre and restaurant area), Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, and very representative cultural areas such as: the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum, and the National Gallery. This tour will end at Buckingham Palace at around 11:45am and you will have the rest of the day free in London to discover more about this magnificent city. Bed and breakfast at the Royal National Hotel or similar.

Day 3 - LONDON - CAMBRIDGE - YORK - DURHAM/NEWCASTLE

We leave London north towards the University of Cambridge. On a walking tour you can admire architecture from different eras in the ancient University Colleges. We will continue our tour to the city of York, where we will have time to take a short tour of its charming streets and we will see its splendid cathedral, the largest in northern Europe. Our next stop is the historic city of Durham, known for its wonderful cathedral and for its castle, which is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Dinner, accommodation, and breakfast at the Radisson Blu Durham, Copthorne Newcastle or similar hotel.

Day 4 - NEWCASTLE/DURHAM - ALNWICK - EDINBURGH

After breakfast, we will head north towards Alnwick Castle, an impressive castle with hundreds of years of history and official residence of the Dukes of Northumberland, where we will take a panoramic tour. We will contemplate the scenes where famous films such as Harry Potter, Elizabeth or Robin Hood were filmed. We will continue our route through the coast until we reach Edinburgh, we will have lunch and we will take a panoramic view of this illustrious city. The capital of Scotland is known for its famous Royal Mile, an avenue that connects Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. At night they will have the chance to join a Scottish dinner enlivened by typical Scottish folklore (optional). Accommodation and breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre, Ibis Style Hotel Edinburgh St Andrews Square, Holiday Inn Hotel Edinburgh Zoo or similar.

Day 5 - EDINBURGH - STIRLING - TROSSACHS - GLASGOW

We will have free time during the morning to visit the streets and museums of Edinburgh. At noon we will leave to visit the Trossachs National Park, we will enjoy splendid landscapes passing through Stirling, Callander, and the mid-mountain passes. Also, we will visit a whiskey distillery where you can learn about its production process and taste the famous Scottish national drink. We will arrive in the third largest city in the United Kingdom: Glasgow. Here is Buchanan Street, well known for both its Victorian architecture and its shops. In Glasgow we will do a panoramic tour before arriving at the hotel. Accommodation and breakfast at the Marriott Glasgow Hotel or similar.

Day 6 - GLASGOW - BELFAST - DUBLIN

We will leave Glasgow towards the Scottish coast where we will take a boat to cross Irish waters until we reach Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Here, we will take a panoramic view of the city knowing its past, to better understand its present. You'll learn who David and Goliath were called, and you'll see Cave Hill, which inspired Jonathan Swift to write “Gulliver in Dwarfland.” We will also go through the painted murals and understand the differences between the Protestant neighbourhoods and the Catholic neighbourhoods. We will discover the Titanic Quarter, where we’ll visit the impressive museum dedicated to recreating the history of the Titanic. Free time for lunch. We will pass through the Morne Mountains to arrive in the afternoon in Dublin, capital of the Republic of Ireland, where we will take a panoramic tour of the city. Dublin main attractions are Customs, Dublin Castle, Phoenix Park, Trinity College University, and the Protestant Cathedral of Saint Patrick. Bed and breakfast at the Croke Park Hotel, Iveagh Gardens Hotel or similar.

Day 7 - DUBLÍN - CLONMACNOISE - ATHLONE - GALWAY

After breakfast we will travel to the west of Ireland. We will visit the Clonmacnoise Monastery, founded by Saint Ciaran in the 4th century and located in front of the river Shannon. We will pass through Athlone and have free time for lunch. We will continue our trip to the city of Galway known as the "City of the Tribes". Here we will take a walking tour to see the streets of Galway including the Spanish Arch, the Protestant Church and Lynch Castle. They will also know why the famous Irish pubs were born. You will see the last Catholic Cathedral built in Ireland in 1965. Galway has such a special atmosphere that you will want to return! Free time to explore its charming shopping centre. Dinner, accommodation, and breakfast at the Connacht Hotel or similar.

Day 8 - GALWAY - ACANTILADOS DE MOHER - LIMERICK - CORK

Today, we will leave County Galway behind traveling south towards the Cliffs of Moher. Before we will cross "The Burren" which in Gaelic means Rocky Terrain, an important extension of limestone land protected by UNESCO in front of the Atlantic. The Cliffs of Moher, with its 200 meters above sea level and 8 km in length, will make us experience the sense of freedom, you can walk along the cliffs and enter its visitor centre. Then we will travel to the city of Limerick, where there will be free time to walk through its streets and have lunch. Then, we will we reach County Cork. "The Valley of Gold" has spectacular landscapes, cultural and gastronomic wealth, and a historical heritage that competes with other large cities in Ireland. Barley production made Cork one of the leading whiskey producers in the country. We will take a panoramic tour of the city of Cork passing places such as the Church of Saint Anne Shandon, the Clock of the Lie, and the Protestant Cathedral of Saint Finbar. Cork, like Venice, is a city built on water and has one of the largest commercial ports in the world, after Sydney and San Francisco. Accommodation and breakfast at the River Lee Hotel, Imperial Hotel or similar.

Day 9 - CORK - ROCA DE CASHEL - DUBLIN

After breakfast we will go to the Rock of Cashel, a fortress prior to the Norman invasion, which was ceded to the ecclesiastical power and is linked to local mythologies of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. In this place, in 1647, the massacre of 3 thousand people took place under the troops of Oliver Cromwell. We will have free time to photograph the impressive fortress and walk through its streets. We will continue towards Dublin where we will arrive at lunch time, and we’ll have the rest of the afternoon free. This will be the last opportunity on the tour to shop in Irish lands. Bed and breakfast at the Croke Park Hotel, Iveagh Gardens Hotel or similar.

Day 10 - DUBLIN - CONWY - LIVERPOOL

In the morning we head to Dublin port and board the ferry to cross the Irish Sea to Wales. In Wales, we will arrive at the beautiful medieval town of Conwy, a World Heritage Site, where we will have the opportunity to visit its splendid castle (optional), a historic medieval fortress, with 22 towers and high walls, built by the English monarch Edward I between 1283 - 1289. We will have free time to have lunch, tour its port and admire the houses of Elizabethan architecture before leaving. We will continue our route until we reach Liverpool where we will take a panoramic view. This city is the birthplace of the very famous rock band 'The Beatles' and European capital of culture in 2008. In addition, Liverpool also has one of the largest ports in England. At night we can visit the mythical Cavern Club, the club where the Beatles and all the great figures of Rock played. Dinner, accommodation, and breakfast at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel or similar.

Day 11 - LIVERPOOL - STRATFORD - COTSWOLDS - OXFORD - LONDRES

Our circuit will take us to Stratford-Upon-Avon, a charming city on the banks of the river Avon and the birthplace of the playwright William Shakespeare. We will do a brief panoramic tour and we will have free time for lunch. We will continue through the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds to the university city of Oxford, where we will take a short walking tour to admire its magnificent university colleges. From Oxford we will head towards London where we will arrive around 6:00 p.m. Bed and breakfast at the Royal National Hotel or similar.

Day 12 - LONDON

You will have free time in London until it is time for your transfer back to London Heathrow Airport for your departure flight.
